2016 Year-End Music Performances from Chinese TV Stations

Time to let your heart and brain dance and sing for the celebration of a great new year ahead! Chinese broadcasting stations took their turns to invite as many Chinese stars and celebrities as possible to their platform in the last days of 2016. How did it fair? Fairly equal. Find your favorite stars down below. I think it’s a solid end to 2016.

20 minutes to go before the closing of curtains on 2016! Last post is this humongous compilation of videos. Forgive me if there are mistakes….I am holding a drink…or two. ;]

Performances from Hunan TV

Li Yi Feng singing “Half Moon Serenade,” “Simple Love, (features He Jiong)” and “Forever Young (features He Jiong).” The Moon serenade song I heard from Hacken Lee. I swoon so hard for this song and Yi Feng has a nice smooth voice.

Jason Zhang Jie with “The Most Beautiful Sun.”

Joe Chen Qiao En and Xie Na duet with “Can We Not Be Brave.” The ladies crying onstage got my own water works going. Oh, 2016.

Wang Lee Hom and his guitar for “Change Ourselves.”

Chen Chu Sheng sings “Has Anyone Told You?”

Huang Xiao Ming making baby milk money! LOL. Just kidding, we know how rich Angelababy is from her endorsements. hehe. He sings “Love,” “My Swing,” and “Stupid Child (Lol).”

Yang Yu Ying singing some of my favorite classic songs. “Blessing,” “Walking The Human Road,” and “There is Only You in My Heart.” ALL THE FEELS!! I’m rolling around on the floor! ❤ ❤ ❤

Hua Chen Yu in a smooth version of “Here We Are.”

Surrounded by pretty dancers, Ma Ke sings “Light Chaser” with a female…Vocaloid?

SO FUNNY! Jia Nai Liang will teach this song (“Daddy”) to his little sweet daughter in the future?

He’s back with more PPAP! HARHAHAHA!

Miss Liu Tao jamming in a sexy white outfit with “Sister.”

Zhang Ruo Yun in his golden Eagle Chair singing, “How Would You Say.” Then joined by Sparrow co-star Zheng Yin for some hip popping. HEHE. His voice sounds damn good and sexy!

Andrew Zheng Yin rapping his way through “Nine’s.”

Stealing the stage away is Zhang Tian Ai dancing to “That’s My Girl!” She oozes so much sex appeal onstage.

This woman! ;D

Sparkly Wallace Chung struts onstage for “Feeling Enough” and his song for General and I, “A Single Branch (tentative translation, Lol, help me out!).”

William Chan dances to “Run For More” and “Taxi.” He looks handsome hip up. Those pants gotta go! XD

Kris Wu dances to “July” then sings “From Now On,” a song from his movie Sweet Sixteen. Love the lighting effects onstage.

Then he’s joined by the awesome Emil Wakin Chau for an upbeat duet version of “A Life of Fighting is but a Dream.” Kris remade the song earlier this year.

Xue Zhi Qian duets “Slowly” with Tan Jing. A lovely performance.

Li Jian accompanied by a dozen of talented young violinists singing, “My Longing” and “If Love had God’s Will.”

Yoga Lin sings his song “Who in the Entire World Listens Closely to You?”

JJ Lin with “Practice Love” and “The Song Which Was Not Written For Anyone.”

Jolin Tsai with “Fear-free,” “Bravo Love,” and “Love Love Love.”

Zhang Bi Chen and Emil Wakin Chau duet for “Lovers of the World.” ❤ ❤ ❤ My old soul.

Emil Wakin Chau’s solo song, “Every family has its Cupboard” GAHHH. I love that I recognize all these old songs, like from which drama! HAHA. Old Soul FTW!

Performances from Zhejiang TV

Every year this station has almost the same performers. Members from Run Brother and a few more. Lol.

All the EXO boys are divided up fairly, so no clashing. Below is Lu Han‘s performance for “Winter Song,” “Skin to Skin,” and a laser dance performance.

Hebe Tien performs “Useless,” “Every day is A Miracle,” “Song of An Ordinary Man,” and “A Little Happiness.”

Performances from Sichuan TV

This Station is pretty old-skool! Lol. Not a bad thing, it’s just not as popular with the younger generation.

Dicky Cheung shaking his bones to his old drama themesongs, but he starts with “We Will Rock You!” Oh, I’m jamming to this ~~~

Group Twins performing a Medley of Songs also.

David Tao begins his medley with “The Taste of Home.”

Wei Chen aka Vision Wei with “Constant” and “Day Dreamer.”

Performances from Dragon TV

Tang Yan and Luo Jin performing their themesong “Heavenly Gift” and “Crystal.” Sorry, I’m falling real hard for Luo Jin’s deep voice. hehe. His eye smiles and shy grins every now and then. Tang Yan’s voice is so sweet, I feel like being dipped in honey. XD So cute these two!

Vanessa Wu jamming to his “Boogie.”

Zhao Li Ying singing “Elope to the Moon” with Chinese Tennis Player, Zhang Jike. HE LOOKS LIKE LORD WANG. XD For the first time in a while, I love Li Ying’s hairstyle! Finally! No more straight center cut and thin, flat hair! She looks better in airport pictures than formal events. Lol.

Zhao Li Ying meeting with a fanboy onstage (representing her Chinese Fans) and breaking into tears at his heartfelt words and thoughtful present. The gift is a pair of shiny heels with engravings of Ying Bao Bao on the bottom. Aww. Good shoes take you to good places.

When asked why he loves Li Ying since she’s beautiful but there are many other beautiful actresses, he says, “It’s because to us fans, our idol is our only one. The second reason is that Li Ying has this unbroken spirit (like nothing could keep her down). Moreover, she is very diligent in her works, that quality intrigues all of us.”

MC: What else would you like to say?

Fanboy (his awesome name is Pang Ying Fei Dao, LOL!), “Today, I’m really happy to meet Li Ying. I’m very touched, happy, and I want to wish her a happy new year. Hi Li Ying! (she whispers back a Ni Hao). Everyone says the love between a fan and their idol is very pure, and this type of love always brings warmth. Every time you’re on stage, you always thank us, thank the audience, but in actuality, we have to thank you because you keep pushing and working hard in the last 10 years. Thank-you for always bringing us great projects and great characters. And today, we hope that you can always retain that sincerity in your future projects. Lastly, I want to say, to be able to meet you and love you, is a type of happiness and love for all your fans, and is our pride.”

They bought her a pair of crystal shoes because they know her feet are very small and often she has to wear uncomfortable shoes to events. They hope this pair of shoes will bring her happiness and comfort. Li Ying then tells them the joke she said during the make-up session that she would marry the person who gifts her shoes. Lol.

This eloquent-speaking man. So humble, so calm, so gentle.

Li Ying’s solo song, “A Little Happiness.” You might recognize this song from the movie Our Times.

The MCs once again teasing our girl by asking Jike to carry her.

Zhang Jike singing “The Treasure Of Heart.”

Show Luo dressing up as Little Red Riding Hood….WHAT IS HE DOING? LOL. It’s actually his song? “What’s Wrong!”

He comes back normal with a medley of songs, “DJ Show,” “Fantasy,” and “Dance Gate.”

Karen Mok performing hit song “Love of A Lifetime” while the pianist played “Rhapsody in Blue.”

Beautiful.

Then she returns with her own songs “Without You” and “Love.”

Ju Jing Yi and her groupmates SNH48 singing “River,” and “Hands of Justice.” I have no idea how anyone can remember all their names! Wow!

Meng Jia singing “WHO’S THAT GIRL” and “Drip.”

Powerful vocals from team Vocal Force. Appropriate name for such talents! Their song is “My Motherland.”

Oho Ou with “RIMS.”

Lay with “What You Need” and “Lose Control.” Wooohoo! Let it rip young lad!

Leo Ku and Lala Hsu singing “Qing Ge Wang.”

Please visit their official channel for the full show.

Well, that’s a wrap on my end! I feel like I have a lot more to say, but words aren’t coming out. So let’s us charge forward to a new year with renewed strength and happiness. A huge thanks to everyone, lurkers included (hehe), for riding along this little love boat. Please know that this world has become a huge part of my emotional life, especially during the last 3 months while being temporarily discharged. Your words, your comments, all gave me laughs and chuckles, beyond the walls of my room.

Thank-you for being here, whether or not you know, you have come.

Happy New Year!

    Happy New Year Kap!

Guys, I really love you guys. All the awesome AVV members. Love you guys and all the peeps too. It’s really cool how amazing that this is such a mostly sweet, accepting, awesome place to just fan-out and talk. Even though I really don’t know any of you in person, I feel like I know all of you and you’re are fantastic. You guys are such a great online family to be a part of. Also fab that I feel like we can talk about non-entertainment stuff here too. I know I’ve said this multiple times, but I really really am happy I’m part of the AVV community and cheers to a great new year. It’s a great place here to just leave RL sometimes and geek with you guys. (Or even geek ABOUT RL) I hope you guys feel the same, but I honestly feel like you guys are great friends, and great people to have in my life :D. Love and kisses.

(Lol just realized I know most of the words to all the old songs …the Wakin songs and esp the one Zhang Ruo Yun sang — literally my mom and I were just belting that in the last hour. Thanks mom for making sure I know all the classics. Old soul indeed.)

    • 35 thoughts on “2016 Year-End Music Performances from Chinese TV Stations

      Thanks Juli!

It’s the same with me! While we do get some flaming comments here and there, everyone is mostly accepting of other people’s opinions. And that is important for any communities to thrive. We don’t have to like and love the same people, but as long as we respect the each other’s preference, that is all well and good. I haven’t met any of the members and commentators in person either but I do feel the closeness to poke and joke around with them because we have known each other for years.

      Happy New Year! =)

Cleaver of Hunan to promote their new drama though his performance!

Happy NewYear everyone and wishing you all 365 days of excellent health and thank you Kappy. Awesome as usual…….We feed on your news and updates. • 35 thoughts on “2016 Year-End Music Performances from Chinese TV Stations

He he he….for all the effort you put into it, it will be unjust not to watch it all. I also watched the others. I kind of like Yang Yu Ying too. Li Yi Feng is so cute. I like his songs. Seeing some of the “oldies” such as Emil and Leon brings back sweet memories. Thank you once again.

  9. 35 thoughts on “2016 Year-End Music Performances from Chinese TV Stations

So much lipsyncing. Why even bother performing on TV if you’re gonna lipsync? Just don’t sing if you can’t be bothered to sing live.

Happy New Year to the people running this site and the visitors!

    • 35 thoughts on “2016 Year-End Music Performances from Chinese TV Stations

Lol. I think most are lipsyncing because most of them are not singers and they didn’t have much time for practice. Some could only squeeze in a few hours of practice by flying back and forth in between filming.

Happy New Year! We need to find you a username fast! hehe. 😉

  10. 35 thoughts on “2016 Year-End Music Performances from Chinese TV Stations

Wahhh. LYF’s super lady fan may like to keep LYF to herself. :- ) Note to all LYF viewers. Please exercise restraint and don’t sit too close to TV and computer screen and paw while LYF is on. Just kidding.

Thank you very much Kappy! These performances will take months to go through.

      Happy New Year!!

  13. 35 thoughts on “2016 Year-End Music Performances from Chinese TV Stations

  16. 35 thoughts on “2016 Year-End Music Performances from Chinese TV Stations

Happy new year, Kap. I’m late again, hehe. *Packs a bunch of beers along*

I saw Tangtang and LJ’s duet, gah these two are so sweet. I feel happy looking at them being happy :’D. Personally I think JJ Lin’s the best performer and LYF’s voice is so nice to hear in Cantonese.

And that ZLY fanboy is so sweet!

    • 35 thoughts on “2016 Year-End Music Performances from Chinese TV Stations

You’re late with drinks Tusu! *dances*

Her fanboy is definitely the epitome of a devoted fan!

      Happy New Year!

  17. 35 thoughts on “2016 Year-End Music Performances from Chinese TV Stations

ZLY is just too amazing, the fan is right, there is just something about her that makes her unique.

Out of the looks department, I wouldn’t even say she is the prettiest actress out there (not saying she’s ugly by any means) but something about her that seems to give off a vibrant aura. Even though I know nothing of her, she just feels like she’s down to earth and seems very genuine and sincere.

Each character she plays she seems to bring to life like no one else can.

Whomever she ends up with will be a lucky fella…(crossing fingers for myself hahahaha)
