Tang Yan prepares to stab Luo Jin’s heart in Princess Wei Young

New trailer! Maybe there’s hope in the damsel breaking the mold she created for herself? The comments in the last post left me chuckling. We all wanted some crazy villainous side from Tang Yan and the frustrations ring loud. But her turn to the dark side can only bring pain to the man she loves most – happy prince played by Luo Jin. I say, go for it! MUHAHA.

Rachel Mao playing the two-faced sister. Ah! But she! Looks! So! Cute!

With this hairstyle, Vanness Wu could go for weeks without shampoo. How about we give some to Zhu Yi Long? Lol.

Hsin Ai Lee. Um, the royal wedding took place a few days ago, miss. You weren’t the bride!

Ooooo! I’m loving her intensity! Unless Tang Yan’s character and acting really blows me away (I hope it does…she’s looking good in this trailer so far), I’m definitely going to root for my adorable Rachel! Evil or not! Tang Yan’s definitely looking really great…so far looks like a huge step up in skill and character, with that fierce stare and emotional solid line delivery so far. I also really love that smirk when she says, “between you and me, it’s only the beginning”. She has a lot of on point scenes in this trailer so far! Also love her eyes and emoting when the person (idk who, in the red (wedding?) dress) steps on her back and the scenes immediately after where she says “to step down on anyone in our way”; like so much emotion. Like, I’m swallowing down this humiliation, biding my chance…I’ll effing remember this; then when she says the line, her desperation and purpose is pushing her thru all the suffering.

I’m pleasantly surprised by the trailer. Tang Yan finally steps away from her cutesy and nice image for a more badass one. 🙂 ME LIKEY! :3 time to look for the translated novel and read it lol

Can anyone tell me which time period/dynasty this is? I can’t figure it out based on the costumes/hair.

Gosh I love that smirk of Tang Yan! This is a really really big chance for Tang Yan to break away from her Mary Sue image and reach another level in acting. And looking at the trailer, it looks like she may be doing this right! Looking forward to see her evilness and hopefully the script doesn’t fail us and make her some half-hearted evil woman!

So does TY’s character marry LJ’s character and then she become dominant? At the end she clearly isn’t standing next to her husband, but what looks like a child (her’s?). I know that the novel had a happy ending, but just didn’t want to read the novel. I could go for TY being alone at the end, that would be a bold move and one that says who needs a man every steps of the way. A new and refreshing ending in dramaland.

It looks like she becomes dominant in the end and that’s the part everyone’s looking forward to! Lol.

      Dunno whether it’s a happy/sad ending though.

Omg Luo Jin reminds me SOOO much of Park Si-Hoo. They look near identical except Luo Jin has a slimmer face. When I looked at him, my first thought was that they hired PSH to film this drama which made me mad because of all the K-actors they could’ve picked, they chose him. Like…are you really that desperate China? Then I realized oh, he’s actually Chinese. So now I’m not pissed but weirded out by their similarities.

TY finally looks like a normal human being! Way more relatable than how she usually is. But knowing China and their productions, they rarely make good female adversaries. Especially if they’re the female lead. Look what we got from Journey of Flower. *Shudder.*

Park Shi Hoo…yes, I can see the resemblance! Must un-see!

Yes, she will become dominant, not sure whether it’s a happy or sad ending, though. *shrugs*

I’m waiting for a longer trailer on this one. Need more of badass Tang Yan. Li Weiyang was sooooooooooo cunning in the book and her schemes were very well put together. I need this in the drama!

The only thing that bug me is Vaness Wu, he looks so off! The hair does not match the face and the face is not ancient suitable. I hope this is a good one I like TY and LJ <3

Agreed! Vanness Wu’s face look kind of squished and very narrow so it’s hard for him to look dignified in ancient dramas. He looks okay here, but still kinda weird. He’s not what one would call ‘an ancient face,’ but he does bring a wild, unrestrained look to his character. Must be that Western streak in him.
