It’s like an open secret at this point with the paps printing pictures of the two on various dates throughout the past few months. Like her promise before in an interview, when Huang Xiao Ming and Angela get married, she will disclose her relationship status. And since the former couple confirmed their marriage, she’s following through with her promise today. A picture of Jerry embracing her from behind is posted on his weibo with the caption, “We Are…”
They are one power couple! Congrats!

Taking a detour with this post that’s slightly off-topic.
Anyone have thoughts about the new trend in China of magazines/celebrity gossip shows moving towards being more like western tabloids in terms of hounding celebrities, taking shots of them in their private homes with scope lenses and the like, and publicly “outing” relationships more? I think Chinese stars appreciated the slightly more private existence they had as compared to their counterparts in the US, at least from paparazzi (fangirls are always going to be a problem if you’re an idol). I personally think it’s more a sign of the westernization of culture generally, as the news reports on people’s affairs, new relationships, etc, probably would have been muzzled entirely in earlier days…
I enjoy learning about people’s relationships and what-not from a pure gossip perspective, but it is kind of sad when you realize they truly have no private lives anymore.

I think it’s been like this for a while, maybe not in China since they have only recently made it big with younger stars and Idol dramas.
The paps in Hk ent are horrible. They would punlishn pictures of stars in their house naked too, just happened to walk by a curtainless window. Sometimes when they are makinh out too. Very indecent. If anything, its the competition too between companies and they are becoming aggressive.
But definitely no sense of privacy when you’re a celebrity.
