YAY! So glad Gui Gui has a new project on her hands and this time, she’s the lead! She has been playing supporting roles for a while now in Chinese projects and I’m glad she’s stepping up! Plus, her co-star, Dai Xiang Yu, is a hottie! We have seen him around quite a bit in Singles Villa, Poetic Justice, and the on-air Tea Love. I remember his face but know nothing about his acting. Tell me folks, is he good?

I hope Girl Who Wears Earring (roughly translated by moi, please help out if you have a better translation, ζ΄ζ΅θθ³η―ηε°ε₯³) is the temporary name because it sounds lame. The premise could go both ways on the good and bad spectrum. The story is set in 1920s Shanghai when our leads meet through the same cause: setting up radio stations. Because of a misunderstanding, the male lead steals her family heirloom – a pair of earrings, rendering a journey for our female lead as she uses her intelligence and kindness to win him over.
So vague….so simple. It’s slated for 40 episodes and I’m skeptical whether they could build a decent story.

This looks promising! The Male actor looks gorgeous! I never thought Hawick Lau was handsome but this guy definitely is ^o^ Casting seems spot on, here’s to hoping the script isn’t as “betong stupid” as most cdramas nowadays… One can always hope, right?

He used to be very popular back in Singapore with his hit drama: The Little Nyonya. I’m glad he is slowly getting back to acting again and getting notice in China now.

I cannot wait! I have been following Gui Gui and her career since they day of My Brown Macchiato, and I’ve been a full-time fan of her, I love how she is real and cheerful! And I think this is the very first drama that will potentially be a big mark in her career! I have high hope, and I can’t wait!
