This is me expanding the spectrum of cdramas that I should cover despite my little interest in the storyline. I like the male leads, Ming Dao and Ma Tian Yu, while the female lead, Ying Er, has yet to grip me in any projects… After wrapping up her parts in The Lost Tomb, she went on a brief vacation before confirming the lead role, Mao Ya Ya, opposite Ming Dao.

Ming Dao’s character is described as the perfect man – handsome and rich. Nothing is said about his personality. *rolls eyes* He’ll be bumping heads and clashing with Ying Er’s Mao Ya Ya before falling in love with her. In comes the gentle-looking ex-boyfriend of hers, played by our lovable singer, Ma Tian Yu (his english name, Ray.) He may look gentle but the man is determined to succeed in life using any means possible. I am intrigued.
The suits fit Ray like a glove, it’s impossible to look elsewhere… 😉
After being betrayed by her ex-boyfriend, Mao Ya Ya tip-toes around the subject of love.
This actress is Yoyo Zhang, Ming Dao’s ex-girlfriend in the series. Looks like we have EX-Village around here, eh?

I can’t wrap my head around these two. Did you know that Ma Tian Yu is actually 2 years older than Ying Er? Maybe it’s me but I’ve always thought she’s in her late twenties/early thirties. They don’t give off coupley vibes in the pictures. =/
Special appearance from Hong Kong veteran actor, Kenneth Tsang, to play chairman. So I’m guessing he’s Ming Dao’s father. Can you believe he’s already 77 years old? He used to be in TVB and ATV dramas and has acted in most, if not all of Jin Yong remakes in the 80s.
Meeting the baby actors. Lol. 😀 Their combined age is still younger than the man in the middle. You guys should be scared! hehe.
This project marks the reunion of director Wang Xiao Kang (Duo Duo’s Marriage, The Husband Spring) and writer Wang Jing Ru, both previously worked together for Tang Yan’s drama in 2011, Shan Hun. Mao Ya Ya’s Marriage Diary began filming in late November and is looking for a slot in the impossibly tight line-up of 2015. Good luck with that!

Singer-turned-actor, like William Chan. He’s been in the industry since 2006 after joining My Hero competition. When I read his profile, I almost cried. Such a humbling and sad childhood he had.
