Well, Korea can’t have all the fun with remakes, so China, specifically broadcast station, HunanTV, has put their paws into the same bowl of ideas as well. One of the two projects includes the popular 2012 Cable drama, Queen In Hyun’s Man, that catapulted the talents of Ji Hyun Woo and Yoo In Na into the public eye. Can the same success be achieved a second time with Zheng Shuang and newbie singer-actor Boran Jing? Hmmmm….hard to say.
Tentatively named, The Queen’s Man, filming is expected to launch in December, shooting for a premiere in 2015.
Let’s go down memory lane with Queen of In Hyun’s Man. I just realize I didn’t finish it. Lol.
For those who don’t know, it’s a time-travel story. Our male lead hops into the future and meets an unpopular actress currently playing Queen In Hyun in a drama series….
And the smoldering kisses!
Zheng Shuang needs no introduction but let’s get to know the actor who is gonna be playing the most intelligent and sensible male lead in 2012.
Boran Jing started out as a singer and is still in a pop group with Fu Xin Bo called BoBo. His acting career began in 2009 and he’s been steadily taking up supporting roles in various films such as Love in Space with Angelababy, The Guillotines with Huang Xiao Ming and Ethan Ruan, and Rise of the Legend with Eddie Peng. He also romanced Ni Ni in Up in the Wind. His first drama ran for 100 episodes and Fu Xin Bo played the other male lead.
He can look cute and sweet, or rough and manly. Examples….below. 😉

I hope the remake won’t kill it for me. But i dont think it would since the cast are pretty attractive with decent acting skill~

AGREED! especially when she confessed that she didn’t accept projects that involved any type of skinship when she was dating him. Even holding hands, hugging or kissing scenes.
i think that just restricted her from filming many projects. I mean, where can you find a project as lead that doesn’t have a kiss scene with the leading male. =_=

She seems like a traditional, good girl. Refusing skinship is a naive (approaching ridiculous) thinking for newbies entering the entertainment industry.
But of course, the past is the past and she’s back in the game is all that matters. Woo!

Oh no, Abu! How could you not know her. Lol. She’s the main girl in China’s Hana Yori Dango, Let’s Go Watch Meteor Shower (Korean’s equivalence = Boys Over Flowers). She dated the main guy (Zhang Han) for a while before breaking up earlier this year.

Oh That Plastic Girl, right? She always associated with Zhang Han after they announced they were dating. Queen in Hyun’s Man is the best drama on my watch list. I’ve watched it along with Rooftop Prince which I didn’t get to watch till the end. I even became their shipper and searching news related this 2 couple especially when Hyun Woo publicly confess his feeling toward Yoo Inna. Unfortunately their love only last short.

I couldn’t finish QIHM… I’m not attracted to OTP in any way. I think I stopped somewhere in the middle of ep.04 or ep.05… or was it ep.03!?! Meh~~~

Well, Good for her. She shouldn’t made her life revolve around one guy. How could she did undergo plastic surgery and refuse any level of skinship only for the sake of a guy? Even me as a male despise this!
