***127th COMPLETED PROJECT!!!!***
Tear up your heart for its OST here.
Keane: As you may know already, Lynette and I will be in on this project together serving y’all the goodies. Thanks a million, L.
So, if I had a choice I wouldn’t condone on the decision of releasing the TV version before the DVD version. We all may have been there before, and it should be a unanimous ruling that the DVD version is vayyyy better. I wouldn’t mind doing double work putting up both versions at the same time, but in the least, give us a chance for that to happen. IT’S HARD TO FIND BETTER SOURCES, SO THESE ARE WEBRIPS, UNFORTUNATE WE KNOW, HOWEVER WE’RE WILLING TO UPDATE MORE ONCE SUPERB KINDS RELEASE. We just couldn’t wait to start on the series already, so these are the best we could find. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE QUALITY (DVD version)?
I rarely start Cdrama projects since those are unfamiliar territory in my resume, but I’m willing to make an exception here. Pardon my tardiness if I can’t seem to get the ball rolling smoothly.
Are y’all ready to spazz with us here on AVV? I may need more tissues, please, pass them over. 😀

I’m all aboard the DVD version as well so of course I’ll help 😉 Keane.
Most importantly, I need subtitles. Fingers and toes crossed for the subtitles to be good and release in timely manner.

Thanks a million! Have been looking forward to this series for a loooooong time now. Fingers cross it’s as good as BBJX and they don’t stuff it up!

for bubu you say there’ll be TV and DVD version, will they be out at the same time or like always DVD after the show ended?
26 thoughts on “Cdrama: Bu Bu Jing Qing Episodes”
Both come out at the same time but quality varies. DVD usually not high quality until later, when people have time to encode. TV version has HD version, only short by a few minutes.
My question now is, do they cut scenes in the TV version? Or is it the same length as the DVD with just more episodes to compensate for the shorter duration?

i’m interested in hearing your opinion of the new re-dubbed storyline. i liked the storyline behind the previews much more than the episodes themselves…it’s too bad they had to change it

This might be a stupid question but is there a differance in content between the tv and DVD versions? I know they sometime would have slightly different version airing in Taiwan vs in mainland due to different people cutting it but is it the same case for tv vs DVD?

I believe the editing is the greatest selling point between TV vs. DVD versions. I personally can tell the DVD version does a better job cutting every episode appropriately with better cliffhangers, in both BBJX and BBJQ. The TV version has hella messy chapter endings. A total turn-off when you can’t marathon the whole sequel.
And yes, the contents are slightly different yet noticable. From my prior experience watching both versions of BBJX, the DVD version is eqivalent to an extended movie if you’re the type who appreciates those subtle details in order to grasp a stronger story background. You’ll just go bonkers settling for the TV version.
It’s unhealthy to watch both versions in comparison however curiosity strikes my appetite for drama. Haha~

I was looking through YouTube for episodes and found this version with the words ‘未删减版’ in the title.. Is this what people mean when they say DVD version?
I didn’t realise there were two versions until reading the comments here – would anyone be able to clarify it haha? How are two versions released simultaneously? Is one released online, and the other is the one shown on TV?
Thanks for starting this project ^_^v

@Keane
Thank you for clarifying. I knew the cutting was different because the number of episodes were always different between the 2 but I didn’t think there were difference in content. Good to know. I’ll stick with the DVD version from now on

So disappointed in the sequel, it is indeed made to milk the franchise, without carrying any heart or attention to details. Modern outfits just cant be compared to the beautiful qing costumes. Flat characters all around too, sadly.
Nicky does not look or give off the aura of a businessman.
Liu Shi Shi, poor girl. I like her outside of acting. Because she’s completely boring here. She does what’s told and fails to bring any energy into her character. The biggest problem is because she lacks screen charisma. Poor girl.
10th Prince dubbed voice is horrible. SO GAY! Not all gay persons sound like that. And the Huang Di character is completely useless/unnecessary.
The saving grace so far is the music. Thanks Keane and L for starting this project. I do hope it gets better……at least? Up to episode 14 and its still boring.

YOU’RE WELCOME. 😎

Keane, maybe you’d like to state what the differences are in the post itself? I see a lot of questions asking why. There was supposedly a third version, but that was only the first few episodes. Just made the whole situation there a lot more complicated, didnt I? xD
Watched up to the latest episodes now, and I can only say that those who were expecting it to be as good as BBJX will be disappointed. I wasn’t really expecting anything much, so I cant say I was disappointed. Plot twists were pretty expected, and since many people will be referring to BBJX trying to figure out who is who, it kinda becomes even more predictable. 10th Prince’s acting pretty good at being gay though. xD

Thank you so much for sharing! It’s highly appreciated. By the way, what does “Ep.01-REPACK” mean?
26 thoughts on “Cdrama: Bu Bu Jing Qing Episodes”
@HotChill, @pilou ~ I’m pretty sure a lil’ birdie will share softsubs eventually.
@Elana, @XYZ ~ I feel you. I really wanted to bawl for this sequel however my tissues on reserve have been more useful to help me get over a cold.
@Annie ~ I encoded eps.01-10 using HandBrake via win app and that came out with a soft touch on the images than its original source (I feel like I’m watching Korean cable shows, now, LOL), so I’ve requested L to help me “repack” (make her version via iOS app) for a uniform series. HTH!
@Kaptain A ~ Ace, you’re having loads of fun on this page. I’m sure PC’s page is gonna be a riot as well. 😉 I’m waiting to spazz with you there.

So I’ve been following this series from uhh day 6 and got terribly annoyed at the TVrip version, especially after watching the true uncut versions of eps 1-4. All that editing took away the nuances and references and turned a potential tear-jerker into a sham. Even the DVD versions have flashbacks cut or replaced, plus edited dialogue. Here’s hoping the true version will eventually see the light of day!

I have watched Bu Bu Jing Xin and fell in love with the story.
I can’t wait to watch the sequel.
However, could anyone tell me where I can get the English subtitles for this series?
Thanks
