Yes! Finally more news about this newest adaptation of Jin Yong’s novel. Produced by Chen Pin Xiang and directed by Lai Shui Ching (the two have worked together before in The Magic Blade), the trailer has me on the hopeful side. There’s real snow and the CGI doesn’t look half-baked.
Maybe it’s the lighting, but I’m warming up to Jia Qing. She looks gentle and wistful in these photos.
Aw! I remember this part! Him begging the so-called good sects to save an innocent girl. 🙁

Tian Long Ba Bu! I’ve only watched the 2003 version with Jimmy Lin and Liu Yi Fei! Not sure how close that version is to the book but I liked it lol. LYF was very pretty as Wang Yu Yan so I’m not warming up to this version of her yet…
So how are we supposed to know who’s A Zhu or A Zi? The clothing…? Mmm.
Wait… so Duan Yu is not gonna end up with Wang Yu Yan?? Hahah. Wellll, he does have like a million other options lol. Too bad they’re all his half sisters…
I reallllyyyy like Han Dong!! Not sure how I can see him as a monk though… he’s such a hunk 😉 at least I believe he gets the happiest ending out of the three guys…

lol…the past wang yu yans were all beautiful in a surreal way. this new actress is far from it so it’s gonna take time getting used to.
nope, as explained from previous DGSD posts, this adaptation is focusing on the new version of the novel, which the writer changed duan yu’s love interest to Mu Wanqing. if you watch the trailer she’s the girl in full red. they’re not his half-sisters after the truth is out! did you forget? 😆
i still see han dong as the pervert in the swordsman 2013. 😛

All the girls that he went after were all his cousins. Duan Yu’s real dad is the boss of the 3 most evil villains, who is the cousin of his dad. So all his lovers are his second cousins.

well, i think, he’s gonna be my bias too.. haha.. haven’t watched his dramas *except Meteor Garden, LOL* but i thought i like him just by seeing his pictures, hehe, i’m still so into Huang Xiao Ming 😀

Can’t wait! Can’t wait! No matter how many times they re-make Tian Long Ba Bu, I will still watch. I am totally a fan of wuxia, especially Jin Yong’s novels! Tian Long Ba Bu is one of his best work!
