Welcome on board everyone! Hope you guys made it to our new home safe and sound. This plan started over the summer and didn’t kick in until last month. I dropped hints along the way in the cbox, did any keen eyes catch them? 😉
Although I feel sad to leave behind 6 years of AliceChen’s World (ACW: 2006-2012), it’s time to race against technology and creativity.
As many of you already know, I ran solo for a long time before brave and kind volunteers join me (our family is growing bigger! :D). While others move on to greater things in the real world, some remain by my side. Either way, I’m touched and moved because of their effort and time.
First off, forgive me for the cheesy (is it?) name. My/Our creative side was stumped for months. I know it has nothing to do with the drama world but I like the fantasy element in the name – the emotional and breathtaking voyage we take with each drama, hoping it would make it to shore with our favorite characters intact. I like it. And if you want to play with my heart, I’ll feed you to the villainous sharks and sea monsters.
Some new features to keep in mind:
- Rotating banners: they’re coming.
- My personal venting outlet aka the beloved cbox is down temporarily
- Twitter! This is Jeff’s idea and I think it’s a neat feature so that all our members can announce their own updates. This bum here is lazy!
The site might be a little buggy so be patient while I dive into the CSS/HTML madmess this weekend.
Let’s begin a new voyage everyone! Hope to see old and new faces around here. ^^

Hey everyone, I hope you don’t mind the shift from AliceChen’s World to AVirtualVoyage, but that redirecting page must have worried you. Bare with us as we try and get everything under control. For now, you may have to wait a tiny bit before finding those old pages, I’m trying to get all the drama links so please be patient!
Yeup, as Alice mentioned before, the name is a tiny bit unrelated, but I really love it. No drama can finish it’s voyage without a ship right? Don’t mess with me or Alice, we won’t hesitate to throw you overboard. Jokes aside, please support us! For Alice, she’s been really dedicated to providing dramas for us all, so the least we can do is thank her; don’t be afraid to drop a quick hello (:

I love the new site. I was very scared and confused at first since my RSS feed suddenly changed and I had no idea what site this used to be, but it looks really good. I love the Graphene theme. It’s the parent theme for my site. I hope moving everything over was easy.

Actually, I didn’t assign those avatars. Graphene automatically changes for each new user (pre-transition stage). All the old comments get the same pink face while new comment varies. It’s weird that they have more sarcastic faces than happy ones. I believe you can change it using gravatar!

first off, congratulation for ths new home..we really appreciate ur hard work n effort to spread the love of asian drama esp korean drama…truth be told…this is actually sort of an escaping virtual world of mine where i always head for the moment i realised tht im all alone(old spinster)…through ths site, im able to tour the wonder of korean n japanese dramas…i cry a bucket over moving parts, i laugh my head off for the funny moments. in a gist,,,thnks to a lot of other benevolent ppl who r willing to share esp ths site…therefore i was contemplating on whthr or not to say ths,,,but since i love ths site as much as others do, id like to share my thoughts…
first off, i really love the idea of linking tags…but i dunno why is the list reduced by a lot…i was actually in the middle of downloading scent of women n man of honour…but they r not in the tag list…so i was quite relieved to see tht u already delegated the categories which is really convenient rather thn having to tour through the whole lot of lists of all dramas n shows on ths site…but then again when i clicked drama tab, i had to once again browse through old posts…n not only tht. i also found out tht not all ur old post was there…e.g my princess (i just realised tht i ddnt download ep 13)…ur old site was just working fine…
secondly theres no more old feature like in ur old blog whereby visitors get a glimpse of what the others are commenting since the new site wont show a few first words of what the others r commenting…i was always excited to read others’ comment esp from alice, mariah,lynette annete, jeff, cool n other regular visitors…i was always a silent reader up to the point when my country ban megaupload, so i had to personally beg for multiupload links…
other thn that, ths site is really cool n awesome…truth b told, ths is the best, much better thn the other prominent sites….im so sorry if i had crossed the line, i didnt mean to criticize, but iwas just trying to give constructive criticism since i really love ths site…so i believe u will take it as means to tunefine ths wonderful site….gud luck to all n god bless u…

domo2 saranghae….how i wish we r not just virtual frens…i mean it cud be soooo interesting to chill out together while chit chatting away about our obsession….omo…at least for me…i dun have sooo mny frens who share common interest…let alone talking about st 24/7 on n on…but i swear ill never get bored listening to it…thts why i just thot it wud be cool to have u guys around…at least in ths virtual ship….
p/s i just noticed one more cool feature thts missing….i have to fill up my particular details everytime i post my comments…those days…i wud just have to write my message and the tab tht read “posted as” will appear n readily directed me to posting my comments under the name i signed in when submitting comments before tht..well i just find it cool n mybe tht feature shud remain…

qistina, don’t worry about it, we welcome constructive criticisms.
As far as the new site goes, I try to keep everything the same – style and posts.
1) Actually, you don’t have to scroll through all the posts to find the right drama. The Drama tab under the header (not the sidebar) contains all of our dramas and OSTs in a handy list. It’s just like the old site but here we move it to the header so that the site loads faster.
2) I’m lost here. What do you mean by “wont show a few first words of what the others r commenting” ? What isn’t showing for you? Cbox?
And please please don’t “beg” for links. We try to do our best but we can’t please everyone.
Switching DNS doesn’t work for you?

luv u guys sooo much…thst why i love ths virtual ship…the captain is soooo considerate n understanding n enviably cool….
1) i just checked it out n it works just fine now…i did go to the header b4 but only a few list were showing….but now i dun have to do tht anymore…
2) do u realise tht whatever other ppl comment, the mssg will pop out on the side bar..but not everything…just a few first lines…but still…i wud always stalk wut u ppl were discussing bcause those few first lines really made me hooked to read more..i wud jus lugh my head off reading those funny comments…its not cbox tho …i know it is still under construction…
3) just a rndom suggestion…how about conducting a poll on a fortnightly basis or weekly basis n link it to the side bar…i believe threr will be a lot warm responses…
4) thres no more auto fill up feature like before for those leaving their comments…i think thts another cool feature from ur old blog…
5) as for begging, ths the last resort…haha…i know u cant resist the puupy eyes begging look…haha…

You have no idea how scared I was when the old website didn’t work! And I was scared to click on the “redirecting” link because I had no idea what was going on, and I thought it could have been a virus or something haha xD
Just want to say thank you for keeping up this website and for all your hard work! I download a lot of dramas from here hehe. The site looks fantastic and I love the new name you’ve chosen, very creative =)

This…scared me so much! I don’t haunt the cbox as much as I should (because I get lost) so I never got the hint. But when it tried to redirect me to here I freaked out. I thought I got hit by some nasty virus! >< Chrome won't let me change this to most-visited yet 😐 But it'll get back to the top eight soon enough 😉 I'm glad your move was fairly pleasant Alice (and Jeff + others). Though, trying to swim to the ship was hard since I'm a horrid swimmer. (That was a really bad joke). I'll be anticipating more drama 😀

Truth is, I drown too. Never liked being in big bodies of water (hot tubs/Jacuzzi/onsen are exceptions!) Oceans are scary (got pulled under once as a child), pools and lakes too. Well… n_n I’ll wade in the pool. And Frea, your random picture is hilarious 🙂 I had a face with a monocle!
